Monday - July 14th – The 2nd Annual SVTPerformance - Welcome to Mustang Week Party

For the second year SVTP will be hosting a welcome to Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach Party. Our inaugural Welcome Party was such a hit that we just had to do it again. If you're in town early for Mustang Week this party is a great opportunity to get out and meet other SVTP members. We will be meeting at Spanky's Pub House, a favorite spot of local's. Spanky's is a great little restaurant/pub with excellent food. I particularly like the burgers and shrimp tacos. In fact, I've had the chef create a special pulled pork and mac&cheese eggroll for the SVTP Party. Spanky's has plenty of parking and the lot is situated in such a way you can easily keep an eye on your car from the patio. We're told there will also be an appearance by the Blu Energy Girls. You'll know you have the right place by seeing the SVTP banner out front. We've arranged the following food and drink specials (which Spank's tells us are good all week if you mention you're a member of SVTP):
$2.50 Yuengling Drafts, $3.50 Aluminum Pints (Bud, Bud Lite, Miller Lite, Coors Lite, Michelob Ultra) $4.00 Jim Beam Pours, $3.00 New South (Local Myrtle Beach Beer) $3.50 Dale's Pale Ale:beer:
$6.00 1/4 Pound Burger Basket with Fries
$5.00 - Spanky’s Burger or Pulled Pork Sliders, Pulled Pork and Mac&Cheese Eggrolls, Bakery Made Pretzels, Blue Cheese Pub Chips, or Pizza Eggrolls

Tuesday - July 15th – SVTPerformance Presents : Pizza at The Cruise-In

This is our first time organizing a companion event to the annual Mustang Week Cruise-In at The Palace Theater. During the later of the MW Cruise-In the SVTP crew will be posted up at Mellow Mushroom, which is just a short walk directly across 21st Ave. from The Palace Theater. This event is open to all SVTP members, regardless of their vehicle. We want to include as many of our great forum members as possible. Mellow Mushroom is home of the best pizza in Myrtle Beach, and has a selection of 30 beers on draft. SVTP will be providing pizza and wings, so stop by for some free food and a cold beer.

Wednesday - July 16th – 7th Annual SVTPerformance Burnout Contest

It simply wouldn't be Mustang Week without the Annual SVTPerformance Burnout Contest. This is our seventh year hosting this event that definitely gets bigger and more exciting every year. If you're unfamiliar with how awesome The SVTP Burnout Contest is, check out our coverage of the 2013 edition of the event: Mustang Week 2013 : SVTPerformance.com/Discount Tire Direct Burnout Competition. Needless to say, this is probably the wildest spectacle you'll see during all of Mustang Week. There's no other event at Mustang Week that rewards winner with a free set of tires for letting it all hang out and showing off for the crowd. The crowd determines the winner, so the more you can do to rile them up the better. Creativity is highly recommended. All participates receive a gift bag and the contest is open to all Ford vehicles.

Thursday - July 17th – The 4th Annual SVTP/Blow-By Racing Coyote Cruise

This is BBR and SVTP's third year organizing the increasingly popular Mustang Week Coyote cruise. The 2013 event featured 53 cars, compared to 16 in 2012, and a great group of Mustang fans. We're hoping to see double the number of cars participating this year. The cruise is open to all 5.0L Coyote and Roadrunner powered vehicles. Our route will take us on some great back roads that most never see. We will eventually find our way to the SVTP Cruise-In at Longbeards Bar and Grill were there will be food and drink specials. I suggest you try the boar wings and fried pickles, both of which are awesome. The burgers are great as well, and a half-pound Angus burger with fries will only be $5.

Ending Point - The cruise will conclude at Longbeards Bar and Grill, a great restaurant just across the Intracoastal Waterway from Myrtle Beach, where we will enjoy Happy Hour specials on food and drinks.

Thursday - July 17th – The First Annual SVTPerformance Cruise-In

For 2014 we've decided to build on our experiences from hosting other Mustang Week events and put together our first SVTPerformance Cruise-In. We will be meeting at Longbeards Bar and Grill just across the waterway from Myrtle Beach. Longbeards is the final stop on the 4th Annual SVTP/Blow-By Racing Coyote Cruise, so you can expect over 50 Coyote/Roadrunner powered rides to show up at some point. We chose Longbeards because of their unique menu,; including buffalo steaks, elk burgers, and quail & grits, etc., extra cold beer, and large outdoor seating area. If that menu is a bit extreme for you they also have $5 half-pound Angus burgers with fries. There's lots of available parking areas which are accessible to lowered cars. We look forward meeting lots of SVTP members, and hope to see many of you there.

Thursday - July 17th – Win a $500 Gift Cert In The Inaugural SVTP/CJ Pony Parts Exhaust Competition @ MW2k14

Held during the SVTPerformance.com Cruise-In on Thursday July 17th at Longbeards Bar & Grill, each participant will have 45 seconds to present the full range of their exhaust tone to the crowd. However, during those 45 seconds the participant must:

• Start the engine.
• Perform at least one rev from idle to 3,000 rpm.
• Perform at least one rev from idle to 5,000 rpm.
• The remaining time is open for free styling.
• At the end of the 45 seconds, the engine must be shut off.

Just like the SVTP/DTD Burnout Competition, the crowd in attendance will choose the winner of this competition. Sounds like fun, right? Well, you might be asking yourself, “How do I enter this awesome contest?”

Well, this is where it gets interesting. We’re going allow you to pre-qualify for the contest. Anyone is eligible. Well, anyone with a Ford is eligible. Of course, you also must attend the SVTP Cruise-In at Mustang Week 2014 (and let’s face it, this is not something you want to miss).

Friday - July 18th –4th Annual SVTPerformance Party Like a Rock Star Night

This is our forth year hosting our annual SVTPerformance Party Like a Rock Star Night. Due to the resounding success of the 2013 party we will returning to The Deck at The House of Blues for Mustang Week 2014. The event is Friday night after the Mustang Week Car Show. The Deck is an awesome spot is hangout, have a drink, and enjoy some great food. Speaking of food, SVTP is providing a small buffet for SVTP members attending the party. They have recently expanded their Craft Beer Lagoon and will have live music on the stage. There's no cover charge, plenty of parking, free food, and a great atmosphere. HoB is offering the following specials: $4 Margaritas, $6 Craft Draft Beers, and 4 for $20 16oz Coors Light Aluminum Bottle Buckets. I'm hoping to see a lot of SVTP members make it out and enjoy all that The House of Blues has to offer.

Can't wait Sid. I really enjoyed Spanky's last year. I love having a laid back Mustang Week event, it gets a bit old fighting the crowd the rest of the week LOL. I look forward to strolling over to Mellow Mushroom for some of that awesome beer and pizza. I also look forward to seeing everyone at the Speedway on Wednesday as usual.

The Party Like A Rockstar night was great, even our wives had a blast with Murrillo last year lol

Kind of off topic but would be nice for first timers to know. Is there any good do it yourself car washes in the myrtlebeach area? I did a search and only found auto washes. Thanks for any info you have. It would be nice to clean up my car before the car show.

There are a few. I go to 1 in Garden City / Surfside area, its right on 17 Business. There's one at the intersection of 544 and 17 business. Its right across the street from the Campground.

There's one at the Wal-Mart across US 17 from the mall where the car show is held.

I will be there this year but without the car. I am working 12 hr days until time to come down so no time to work on car for me. Looks like I am going to be riding my bike down this year but at least I am getting to come for the week. I cannot wait to meet all of you guys and look forward to partying for a week straight. I am staying @ the Holiday Sands South with all the Foxbody guys. We normally have a blast with all those guys that we normally only get to see once a year.

Yea then we bring the young crowd with us that is going show the old guys how it is done. I remember one of them out by 6pm before the sun went down. We have had a lot of good times together down there it is almost like a family reunion with the guys you only see once a year.

Was last years cruise different? I don't remember it being a coyote cruise

There's been a Coyote Cruise for the last few years. In 2013 we did an SVTP Cruise, but due to its time of day and massive size it's just not feasible for us to continue it this year. We've replaced it with the SVTP Cruise-In.

Damn. Strolling down memory lane through last year's pics really makes me sad that we won't be there this year. Mellow Mushroom was awesome, as was Spanky's and the House of Blues. We will be back for sure in 2015 though!
