Given the 5w50 oil required by Ford, we pretty much have to order our oil. Shopping around on the internet resulted in prices north of $100 for Motorcraft oil and filter. Some of those were for the older model and only had 7 quarts. Others had 9 quarts and were $119+.

Anyways, the webpage below has 9 quarts and the filter for $75. Seemed good enough to pass along. It shipped to me in two days (FedEx ground only on fluids).

I have not priced it out at a dealer yet but I am guessing this will beat it.

this is why I wish I could just shell out $1200 for a scissor style car lift and do my own maintenance. I get amsoil at dealer pricing and couple that with not having to pay a mechanic would be great....plus I just don't trust other ppl to work on my car.

$69.75 for 9 quarts of synthetic 10W-40 at preferred customer pricing. If you guys are interested let me know, just make sure you get it wholesale thru me or another dealer. Don't pay full retail.

The shipping cost is a killer... depending on where you live.

You can also get 12 quarts (2 cases) of 5W50 Castrol or Mobil1 for less than $100 shipped free at amazon.com. Filter is around $4.

$89.95 isn't bad! To be honest, the only pricing I did was doing it myself (parts only). I didnt even consider taking it to the dealer as I figured it would be way higher.

5w40 would be fine but I think most will want the 5w50 recommended. But thanks for the options!!! Never hurts!

I am sticking to Motorcraft just for the sake of following recommendations but $100 for 12qts of Mobil1 is nice! I didn't find that one! After 3 oil changes you'll have enough extra oil for a (somewhat) free 4th oil change, lol.

I just ordered this kit. Shipping was $19 ground. I was trying to compare the different fluids, where to get, etc. and got tired of screwing with it. This is OEM so I'm not going to worry.

The shipping is the deal breaker on this. For me it was $24.00, so the price per quart was what my local dealer charges anyway.

If you are interested in AMSOIL they now offer free shipping on orders over $100 dollars and for orders under $100 it is a flat fee of $8.50. Contact me if your are interested in learning more. Like Blue Snake 263 said becoming a preferred customer will save you, approximately 25% off retail.

I checked, me too, above... Freight is the killer...

Freight for me was a bit less, 20 bucks; but for the people who don't live near a dealership that carries Motorcraft or want the ease of ordering online I think the prices are reasonable at k-mans.
