I am not able to see any difference around the sticker.
Furthermore, gray photographs very differently depending on sunlight.

LOL told NATE about that car over 10 days ago LOL……. Figured you would here about it though as it come to your area from CA just a few weeks ago.:beer: I was on that car when it was in CA while I was blowing up the phone, current owner knew the seller and it was getting PPI”d at the FORD they were waiting to see if it was gone before calling me back.

Ah, really? I think the pic of the sticker it's pretty easy to see the contrasting paint color. Yes, well aware that gray photographs differently - but this paint is much darker than the OEM Tunsten. Park a genuine Tungsten GT next to it and the difference will not be subtle. OK to be skeptical.... that's the right attitude when inspecting one of these cars.
TTT - still looking for a GT. Ideally Blue, Tungsten or Black. Ready to buy...

No offense, but private party deal really limits your search. If you think you're going to save $10-15k by not buying from a dealer, it's entirely possible and even likely that the price of the car will have gone up by the same amount as you endlessly search.
I harassed a guy about looking for a car that fit way too narrow a criteria at a specific price point until he finally just bought one. Lucky for him market is now easy $25-30k north on that same car.
Sadly, DBK is correct, this FGT craze is inexplicable. Fooled the heck out of me.
Dealers are well entrenched on every advertising site and you can bet they call every "FSBO".
At the current prices, IMO, it is more important to find the "right" car than it is to purchase a questionable bargain.
To find a FGT owned by a hermit is going to be challenging to say the least.
Go to the various forums and appeal to the "FGT wanted" section as you have done here. There may be a sympathetic owner who is willing to part with their car and does not favor dealers.......hey it happens.

^^ Correct, the best part is the longer you(they) wait to buy one they will be up 10 to 15k$ before you blink and want to pull the trigger. These cars are crazy. Spring time will be interesting.

Funny, Bobbie really didn't like the Gulf colors regardless of the history behind them. I'm tepid on the livery, so another color was fine by me. Just remarkable the crazy prices for the Heritage, and not even a wrapper car.

Try Bill Collins Ford, Louisville KY. My uncle bought his gt there back in the mid 2000's. This dealer had one of every color, option sitting in his showroom (which was an old mall)

I'm considering a 2005/6 GT and would like to find out where owners are finding decent rates for insuring? My insurer (farm bureau) will not quote it.
I would plan on driving it around 2,000 miles a year, roughly.
Looking for a clean, no accident, white with blue stripe. Options don't matter much. Miles don't matter much, but priced accordingly.
If anyone is selling or trading in their 05/06 GT for a 2018GT, please hit me up, as I don't need it for some time...even toward the end of the year would be fine.
