FAQ

We have been receiving a lot of questions regarding finishes and fitment. I will update this OP with the must frequent questions and answers as we receive them:

Q. Are these wheels in-stock or a custom build?
A. Velgen fitments are in-stock and ready to ship! No waiting for production.

Q. What sizes are available?
A. Velgen offers 19x9 +35 / 19x10.5 +45 and 20x9 +35 / 20x10.5 +45 in stock and ready to ship for the Mustang.

Q. Do these Wheels require spacers? Is the fitment in the pictures the "actual" fit of the wheels without modifications?
A. The wheels are direct bolt on and do not require spacers. This Photoshoot shows direct bolt on with no modifications to the wheels.

Q. Do these clear the factory Brembo Brakes?
A. Yes, the wheels will clear the factory Brembo brakes without any issues.

Q. Are there other finishes available?
A. The wheels are available in Matte Silver and Matte Gunmetal (shown) as standard finishes. We also offer custom finishes at an additional charge and these will take 5-7 business days to complete. We can produce these wheels in most single stage powder coated finishes. Chrome is currently not available.

Q. Do SVT Members receive special pricing?
A. Yes! Contact me directly for our SVT Member pricing.

This is the NEW Velgen Matte Gunmetal Finish. This Matte Gunmetal replaces the old Matte Gunmetal which had a blue/graphite base.

Paul, do you know the weight of these in 20'' silver going on a 305 width tire?
That would be for the rear and the fronts would be 20'' as well but 265 width.

Also do you know how much the stock premium 19'' weighs, these wheels:

Trying to go with bigger rims while possibly saving weight.. lol :beer:

I can't tell you what the combined weight of the wheel and tire is since the weight of tires vary by brand.

Here are the weights for the wheels:

VMB5
20x9 F: 27lbs
20x10.5 R: 28lbs

I couldn't find exact specs for your stock wheels but based on the research I did, they appear to be 30lbs to 31lbs each.

The larger tires will add weight to the new wheels, so I would estimate you will see an even trade in terms of weight with the Velgen wheels.

If you are looking to save weight, you may want to look at our flow formed or forged options. However, these will come at a much higher price point.

Most likely not. The 19x9 +35 fits multiple vehicles, not just the mustang. Wheel manufactures generally build fitments that will fit multiple vehicles. The 19x9.5 would be very specific and would require a large amount of requests before Velgen would build it.

If you want a 19x9.5, I would suggest looking at some of our custom brands (e.g. Forgestar).

I have the same wheels and they are heavy! Especially on the Pirellis...I went down to 18's for that reason.

You may but the 20x10.5 won't fit on the front of the Mustang without serious modifications to the car and spacers to clear the calipers.

The images all show the wheels in 20x9 / 20x10.5
