Yeah stretch is right, I tried to max out the paxton's potential for low end torque (with the stock block) by going with the 3.33 pulley and 11 lbs spring wastegate. This still was not even close to a turbos pull down low. I can speak from experience as I have been in single turbo car. The Paxtons every day drive was just not scary enough for me even on the streets, maybe its because of the linear power band that just didnt do it for me. The ability to change boost on the fly does help add fuel to the flame to switch from a paxton to a turbo.

Yeah that's why I wanted to go turbo from the get go.....the ability to change boost on the fly and boost by gear but I could get away from the Paxton's bang for the buck.

I got to be honest, went for a ride in a friends 03' AWD Turbo Evo yesterday putting down 750 to the wheels and the power delivery was insane!

That shit gave me a boner! :burnout:

I think once I get out there I may start drooling on turbo setups. ive been meaning to ask how is the E85 availability out there? I am wanting to DD on it since the weather is a lot nicer out there but searching the net I only found one station in el cajon.

I think all these other twin turbo guys are just dyno queens from what I see because your the only one that I see doing any work haha.

Everyone know Turbos are more efficient but I'm pretty sure once I'm fully built I'll be able to hang with some you turbo guys.....hell I've gone faster than probably half the turbo guys already :pop:

Guess its a good thing im a single guy then huh? :rollseyes

are you speaking from experience yet ?

Sure am. Thanks though for checking.

there is 3 stations within San Diego county. I go to the one off el cajon blvd call person ford. Its cheap and they always have new tanks coming in. once this build is done and if ur in SD ill take u out for a ride in this beast. All it takes is one test drive in a turbo car to change your mind hahaha

That is an ignorant comment. Explain the reason a turbo will not work with a stick? Im curious to your answer. There are tons of fast stick cars with turbos. The boring statement is just your opinion. I think an auto is boring no matter what power adder. Im not mad, just curious why people think that way with no real evidence to back their claims.

how many turbo stick shift cars have you owned? How many supercharged? THeyre ****ing boring to drive and never run a good ET compared to the HP they make compared to an auto. Nitrous and supercharger is different

I have owned both a super charged (Paxton coyote) And a turbo charged (480hp to the wheels Turbo SRT4 Neon) and all I can say is the turbo blew the pants off the supercharged car. Both are sticks. Yeah if your comparing a auto coyote to a stick coyote an auto will win 1/4 races but in no way is a stick shift car boring with a turbo...

if you want to keep boost between shifts all you need is an n2mb wot box. i have it on my car and the bov does not make a sound between shifts.

I have owned 4(going to be 5) stick cars with a turbo. Its all how you build it.
98% of these cars are stick cars.

I'm auto and i like it on the 1/4 but on the street a stick can be a lot of fun more so than auto.. Other than big city traffic jams.. We have stick racing classes here and some of the drivers can beat the autos but they literally have to get a ton of passes behind there belt they rent the track and just bang them all day till they get it nailed a buddy of mine nick runs bad ass fox in the 5's 1/8 th with a manual 5 speed hez the local 5 speed king at the moment. Can't count how many parts he breaks though but he is a partner in a performance shop so not to much trouble for him to be fixing things.

For the record stick turbo cars are a ton of fun to drive on the street, racing them can be a pain in the ass but for some people thats where the fun is.

Personally i enjoy going to the track to figure out stuff (make a new combo work) Others just like to go and hit the "go" pedal and run a number and go home. Im more of the guy thats at the track every friday night in the summer taking notes.

if you want to keep boost between shifts you dont need anything other then keeping you foot on the floor

WOT box and you just keep the pedal to the floor and never come out of boost, pretty easy.

Turbo stick car is fun on the street, my buddy de-tuned his built auto supra and went with a stick just to enjoy the car, granted it still made a 4 digit number, as not much more detuning to do lol

A wot box will never make a manual compareable to the auto. Im speaking from personal experience. You still have a dip/drop between shifts.

What dip drop are you speaking off? I have my wot box set at 100ms right now and I would put it against any auto. it is at 100ms because that is the quickest I can move my hand from gear to gear. You could go even lower if you want.. The only avantage an auto has is in the launch At a drag strip... After that with traction being equal the stick car should run the same as the quickest auto if not faster.
