Hahaha well seeing how little you get for the mt82 on resale I just might blow it up myth buster style... its for science!
Before I went Tremec I was looking into beefing up the MT82 and liberty gears can do more than bronze shift pads they can shot ping and cyro gears the one tech over their told me it is pretty stout and if your trans is good it will cost around $1500 shipped back and forth more if synchros are chewed up. He was pretty sure that it would be good as a tremec but at the time I thought my trans was shot to find out it was just the clutch separated off the the center hub go figure... I didn't realize the 82 in MT82 stands for 82mm main shaft for comparison the tremec is 85... Figured if you have down time might be worth checking out... Keep the pics coming!!!

Im going by graph not pants seat.. Turbo is #1 in my book and my preference i am not wanting to start a shit storm maybe i should say levels out i don't mean drops out etc. mid range is nuts on a turbo :D there's so many various turbo combos im sure you can almost tune the damn things to your flavor.

are you speaking from experience yet ?

I think all these other twin turbo guys are just dyno queens from what I see because your the only one that I see doing any work haha.

Everyone know Turbos are more efficient but I'm pretty sure once I'm fully built I'll be able to hang with some you turbo guys.....hell I've gone faster than probably half the turbo guys already :pop:

Twin turbo guys never do work ;-)

Nice build OP, looks like it is going to be a beast. Will be awesome when all of Dustin's setups start hitting the track.

A turbo will pull harder than a supercharger on the big end. Only thing a supercharger has over a turbo is more torque.

a pd blower not a centrifugal. centrifugals dont have much torque but have a bit more big power end than the pd but not as much as the turbo.

I'm pretty sure in Colorado yall only get like 2 days the track opens up right haha.....do you have big plans for next race season and when is that damn kit gonna get officially released because the next gen is just around the corner. :rolling:

I did my licensing passes when I got home and that was it (low boost slow runs). I really want to pour the boost to it but don't have the fancy block that these guys are getting. Hopefully an announcement is coming soon on the Lund kit, the exhaust manifold castings are finally done, so that step is out of the way.

Most turbo setups have loads of tq usually more peak tq than sc's PD blowers just make a ton of TQ quicker than a turbo due to instant boost. Centrifugals have decent TQ but it comes in later but they have significantly less tq than PD & Turbo.

That sounds good let the mark flood with turbo kits because maybe in 6-8 months I will be ditching the Paxton. I just want to see how deep I can go before going to the darkside.

if u are referring to a centri that is a false statement. hell I haven't seen a pd that made the tq mine does.

Yeah stretch is right, I tried to max out the paxton's potential for low end torque (with the stock block) by going with the 3.33 pulley and 11 lbs spring wastegate. This still was not even close to a turbos pull down low. I can speak from experience as I have been in single turbo car. The Paxtons every day drive was just not scary enough for me even on the streets, maybe its because of the linear power band that just didnt do it for me. The ability to change boost on the fly does help add fuel to the flame to switch from a paxton to a turbo.
