This forum is slow and I don't have a rare 93 Cobra with a production GT500 engine because my Aunt's husband brother was a line supervisor so...

Post a picture of how your car sits now.

I'm currently in rough shape.

I will take one tomorrow. I pulled everything out of the front end of the car to smooth the engine bay and then lost motivation lol.

I just received my Scottrod panels but I'm just plug welding them. I have a few extra holes from bolt on's I want to weld up and then paint. I'm dying to drive this car again.

Mine is in similar condition except mine probably is worse and is Black. I'll have to get a pic and post it up. I like what the OP said as it's how I feel most of the time.

I was really close to doing the Scott rod panels but made a last minute decision to just clean, prep and paint - two stage ...

That looks great, I wouldn't have put them in either if my bay look that clean. I have extra holes from years of bolt ons and STB so I need to fill and cover.

I riveted a patch panel in my Teal car a long time ago.

The picture shows the engine bay when i purchased the car ( notice non gt40 heads, no rockers, ) . I bought it as is- roller.. I put it back together and it ran, however the back two pistons were at 45lbs .. I made the decision to pull the motor. I was unhappy with the amt of oil and dirt that was in the bay. SO i prepped and prepped, then i prepped some more. Im pretty happy with the outcome. Luckily the Bay was pretty straight and RUST FREE!!!

It will make a world of difference when you button things back up. Hopefully you take the time to do the same detail to the motor also.

What I have noticed is, cleaning up the bay makes everything going into it look old and dirty. I am taking my time cleaning everything going back in and painting what needs it .
