I can't make an educated recommendation on Amsoil. I have no idea how their product line breaks down.

As for RP, I'd spend the extra scratch and get HPS.

If you're looking for cheap dino oil I always had good results with Castrol GTX. What motor is in your Explorer.

Scoot on down to your local walmart and pick up a 5 qt jug of Pennzoil Ultra for 27 bucks.. There problem solved.. Signature Series otherwise..

As stated above, find Ultra local or buy Amsoil on your PC account.

Ultra is a darn fine lubricant! No complaints from the Amsoil guy.

Only fram I'd ever use..

Would've put a motorcraft on it but not common enough to find in parts store. And ain't gonna run her long enough for a EAO.. Next time though she's going to SS 5w-30 and a EAO filter
