Well the title says it all. Just got my beefcake special in the mail today. ID1000, Novi 2200SL, BAP, JLT intake. Im looking for a good installer with a dyno for some remote tuning. Anywhere 40 miles around the San Diego area. I know of 1 shop, JBA racing gave me one quote but was a little step. Need help from anyone in the area!

Money shot

install is pretty straight forward on the kit. Just wanting to drop it off and forget about it? How are those NT05r's holding up? You gotta let me know how they hook on the street once you get it installed. Im getting those for my car when I get the wheels.

Wish I had the time to install, I work 6 days a week. Just want it done right the first time too. the NT05r only have 2k miles with little to no wear so far but its really hard to spin them N/A with my suspension setup even with 3.73 gears. Cant wait to get it installed and see what the tires can really do.

wow thats alot of cash for an install even with oil pump gears.
there was a guy in another forum that paid 3 grand for a tvs install on his 5 liter. and hes happy.
idk but to me keeping 1000bucks on my side is worth it even if it takes me a week to install it. btw the paxton install could be done in a day with basic tools.

If I can install all the shit on my car by myself, so can you. Save the money and try it yourself. WHEN you complete it, you will feel so good about yourself.

So everything is here including some extra goodies, JPC breather kit and clutch line. Still havnt found a shop that can take my car in without a 2-3 week waiting time. Does anyone else have any recommendations in the San diego area or within 90 miles?

There is a place in Santee, can't remember his name at the moment. Not HCM, but the previous owner of RPMM.

I got a quote from gtr and it was very fair. 1k for full install then I pay for dyno time as needed. Oil pump gears is a good idea too but how much labor would be involved to add that?

$999 plus dyno time is typically what we get for a basic install.

I know cali is going to hit you up for more money probably, but even with cali "premium" tax, I would think 1200-1300 plus dyno time should be max you should pay

I would stay away from RET for tuning the paxton. I had 3 tunes done there and 2 were so unsafe that I heard pinging after I picked up the car on the street, AFR was all over the place. He can make big power, but is super unsafe.

I took my car for a retune to Ryne at Cunningham motorsports, and he does it right. Spent several hours tuning it and verified it on the street.
