A local terminator site died.

SoCal Terminators has died. All data lost.

Here is the final page.

SoCalTerminators.com
7 October 2003 - 5 March 2013
Rest in Peace

SoCalTerminators died today at 11:30 AM Pacific time. The company I hired to migrate the site to a new server failed to do so before the old host disconnected and scrapped the old server. My old company, Novus Technic, is being liquidated through the courts and they old hosting company had no intention of allowing access beyond the agreed day and time. The old box was shut down, immediately dismantled and parts scrapped. All data is lost.

I'm having a really tough year. My dad passed away in January and now my son is seriously ill. He's undergoing treatment at home and we're having to set up home schooling for the rest of the year. I'm working 80-100 hours a week trying to get my new business off the ground while working full time for the magazine and racing a full time schedule. I have no energy or bandwidth left for anything right now.

I'm sorry it ended this way. I guess Pat was right after all.

- Richard

Thanks for keeping it going as long as you did. Lots of nice people on there.
I hope everyone find a way to thank you. And I hope your son gets better and life eases up on you.

Wow, I was a member on there too. Best wishes to everyone I know/knew on that forum.

Yes you were, dude! We are working on getting a board back online. SoCalTerminators was always a little different :rolling: and a lot of fun for us.
While we are figuring out stuff, we want to keep track of our brothers and sisters -- this thread is very helpful, and we have an email address
[email protected] where we are going to try to collect email addresses and chat.
If you are in this thread we will take note. thanks
We know that this was tough for Richard, he gave us 10 good years, and I wish him the best.

Anyway, a site died but we are all alive and kicking. :-D It might come back as before, or it might come back a little differently. Good to see all of the familiar names on this thread.

James (for all of the folks working on this) missing socalt which I woke up to every day... even tho I was a shirker with only 35,000+ posts ;-)
