Prove me wrong then brohaus, you wanna play this game, go right ahead. Prove no 01 cobra has gone 13.20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's. Wasn't it you that said an 01 would be hard pressed to run 13.6's?

We gave you more than two minutes, chump. Lay off the haterade, it's clouding your thinking.

No I meant proof that 01 cobras haven't run mid to low 13's.

Well sure an '01 Cobra has run low 13's, but with what mods? You opened your big trap, now back it up!

Sure. By using his argument? That makes his argument pretty retarded then.

By doing so in the span of two minutes whereas you had the whole freaking day to prove your point. Forums or not; you opened your mouth and start spewing bullshit from your first post in here and here we are, still without proof and just told to research it ourselves. :nonono:

Go ahead, start backpedaling in 3, 2, 1...

You guys are so serious about your bench racing. Lighten up.

And here it is! :lol1:

GTFO of here man! You've provided nothing productive to an otherwise informative thread. And it's funny you call US bench racers, Mr. Online Calculators.

I found this thread,

13.28 with a 99 bone stock

The fix is the cylinder head recall to properly phase the cams to idle spec, it was a manufacturer recall as almost everyone knows

Motortrend ran 13.5, magazine drivers don't powershift so that's likely a 13.3 or better with proper shifting at 6800rpms

I'll keep searching the new edge terminator threads later on but I have paperwork to get done before 5, l8r till I get a sec to find more posts

Seriously? Dude I get that you like your car but step back and read/use a little reasoning. I'm not bashing srt8's bud, I'm saying that altitude makes na v8's run way slower.

Let me say it very clear bud, up here at 4,300 ft of altitude, bone stock srt8's, camaro ss gen 5's, c6 vettes and 03 cobras run bottom 14's at 102-105.

I can't compare those times or any times that I see with my own eyes in real life to times others are running at sea level otherwise I'd be way way off.

To clarify, up here, cobalt ss's run 14.9's - 15.5's stock depending on the driver. Obviously that's way off what the v8 guys are running.

My point was that if I compared motortrends times to what cars are running up here, the v8 cars are barely keeping up with sea level cobalts so obviously real world track time in real life aren't what I'm going to go off of because we are way to high up here for the times to matter.

I went turbo because of the shitty altitude, haven't looked back since.

I never once mentioned my car or any other SRT8 for that matter. It was you who stated "motortrend's as tested times for a cobalt ss is faster than 03 cobras and srt8's." I simply posted up motor trend's test that you were stating. Obviously altitude affects the cars.

I was waiting for this, I uploaded proof right after you exploded. Take a breather man, you let people get under your skin too easy.

Relax, it's the Internet.

Now you put words in my mouth. I never said motortrend showed cobalts running faster than srt's and pony cars. I said if I compared times I see locally to other times, everything would seem way off.

Quit nit picking this dude, do you not understand the analogy? At this altitude I can't compare real times to people's times around the us/world because they don't equate. Cobalts run 13.8-14.2 in motortrend and late model muscle cars run those times up here so I have to read forums/threads/YouTube videos to see what people are running at sea level.

Again, that all said, I've seen plenty of dig and roll races to know how different cars run. They're slower up here but they still win/lose/tie about the same except that huge motor cars lose a little more power than smaller displacement mills.

Loving and owning both Mustangs and Camaros so no homer.

You're going to get smashed. Gears will help you keep it close for about an 1/8 then you will get walked. The auto only helps him because it will make his launch and shifting idiot proof. Come on homers a "drivers race" please a stock Terminator vs 98-02 SS would be a drivers race.

No I just cannot agree with that. As much as a stock LS1 Fbody is faster than a stock N/A Edge Cobra a stock Terminator is faster than a stock Fbody. Fbody guys like to try and make you think otherwise but no, and especially not out on the streets.

Trust me I talk enough crap about Terminators compared to the new 5.0's, but a stock Fbody isn't faster than those either.

At 4300ft, track times tell me that motortrend's as tested times for a cobalt ss is faster than 03 cobras and srt8's, 13.8's vs 14's for those cars up here.

Is this you? ^

I have been in aviation for over 20 years. I understand the affects of altitude. If we were to take an 01 Cobra and a LS1 to 4300ft, the LS1 would still be faster. The fact that the OP has gears simply means he will wind out faster but the further they go the lower geared car will simply run out of gear. I define fast as the maximum attainable speed and quick as the rate at which it gets there. I will say that if they are only going 1/4mi and the Cobra can get out of the hole, it's lower gearing will pull until it runs out of gear. If it reaches the line before running out of gear then theoretically, it should win. As we all know a car that is geared for maximum potential for the 1/8 running against a car geared for maximum potential in the 1/4 and ALL other variables being identical, each car should take the win in their respective set.

But I got what you are saying. The sea level times for the Cobalt are faster than the times for the aforementioned cars at altitude.
