This whole time I thought you sold your car or something, good to hear it's going to be a monster when it's all done!

Who's doing the build?

Captain Morgan himself! It's out in Vegas right now actually. I'm dropping the heads off labor day weekend and we'll start tearing into it then, slowly but surely.

Sounds like a SICK build in store. Subd...

LULZ To answer your questions on the trans, I did extensive research and the 4R70W is really the only trans that's streetable with an overdrive. It's hit or miss with people's experience with them in high HP Stangs, but I've talked with many people who personally made the switch and almost every single one of them (with the exception of those who want pure drag cars) absolutely love this trans.

If you need anything else, let me know!

PROJECT MAYHEM UPDATE via Captain Morgan

"So a little update for the friends and the skeptics lol. First of all anyone who has has built a combo like this understands the amount of time involve. Time that is scarce on top of lives and jobs. The fall was a rough one with being gone almost 10 out of 16 weeks. On top of that my friend and engine builder added a new baby boy to his family and was in the hospital for a a few weeks battling an injury. 2013 has proven to a be an awesome year. vthntr is completely torn down, breaks, wiring, suspension, If Im gonna throw 900+hp at a car and put a brother in the thing is sure as hell is going to be gone over top to bottom.

Short block is done and is beyond sick. I would give specs but its overwhelming the amount of work Frankie has done to make it live at that power level. VooDoo racing speaks for itself.

Will be installing heads and degreeing cams shortly.

Parts are heading to powder coaters soon to put the final touches on some items.

Im 90% positive we have decided to move to E85 given its abundance here in vegas and consistency in octane and power capability. Looking for injectors as we speak.

I am extremely excited to get this thing back on the the road but want it to be in perfect running order and looking as sick as ever.

Thanks to everyone staying tuned. I will have some pics and some result up soon. Even better I hope to have some track times to back it all up."

Very nice build, I am in the middle of a build as complete as this myself right now and I totally understand on everything taking longer then planned. Took my car down to shell and everything (even the interior) has been changed at this point. Can't wait to see the results of your build and some pictures as it starts coming together.
