I avg. around 15.5 daily driven, and I've only had it on a highway trip once from MD (SE of DC) to Philly and back. I got 18 on that trip, but it had less than 1500 miles on the odo and some Philly city driving was included.

If you drive tame and get that kind of mileage something is definately wrong. I get 19-21mpg on city/highway mix with a good mix of spirited driving and short WOT bursts.

Took an 800 mile road trip last summer (one way) and on the highway consistantly did exactly 21 miles per gallon with below mods. Every tankful had nearly identical average milage of 21. Around town, I'm right with ya at 10 to 15 miles depending on how often I give it boost. Price ya pay for performance.

EDIT: By the way, "the occasional WOT" will kill ya with this car, as that boost guage goes up, the gas guage goes down - no joke.

Same here, depending on how I drive, and how much I play on teh weekends. Normally I get 230ish to a tank which averages out to about 18.5-19mpg dependant on how much gas I put in. I've seen as high as 23mpg city driving, when just taking it really easy throughout the tank.

HOWEVER with that said We are both in the high altitude of colorado and require a bit less fuel. I think we probably get decent gas mileage for how much we hot-rod our cars :-D

Try resetting your PCM by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes.

I don't think I've ever got under 13mpg even when I made a bunch of dyno pulls or ran a few times at the track.

These cars run rich stock...So your eating up more gas than you should...I used to notice the same thing...I heard:-D that a chip and smaller pulley driven respectabily can yield better mileage than a stock cobra driven in the same manner. I'm getting over 22 mpg on the freeway, in sixth, at 70+ staying out of boost...

Get the reflash from Ford. I get 19+ in town, and 23 on the highway. And, I make lots more power than stock.

The shift light will put you in 6th by 40mph. It just lugs the engine.
I found if mpg is what i want the following formular worked for me and got me
17mpg city.
0 to 20 mph 1st gear
20 to 30 mph 2nd gear
30 to 40 mph 3rd gear
40 to 50 mph 4th gear
50 to 60 mph 5th gear
60- up mph 6th gear

The best I ever got on a highway doing 65 to 75 mph was 25mpg.
Must have been a fluke. Most of the time 21 to 23 mpg highway.
