I started a thread not to long ago about what my next mod should be...I ended up getting my hands on a crusher inlet for my 3.4 Whipple

I haven't seen anyone provide before and after numbers of the inlet upgrade aside from Lethal. So I wanted to get everyones predictions on my HP gain from the inlet? My dyno session is Saturday so I will let everyone know the actuals then.

Mods are:
3.4 Whipple 3.625 Pulley
Whipple TB
Whipple CAI
O/R X Pipe & Muffler Delete
BAP
C&R HE

I'm still on stock injectors but I'm hoping to not to run out of fuel b/c Ive read they are good to 700-725rwhp

Dyno numbers on standard inlet were 665/642 on 93 Octane.

NEW NUMBERS 718/653 on 93 Octane!!!!!!!:rolling:

15-20rwhp:shrug: Good luck!!!

It depends on the boost you are going to be running. With your pulley combo, you're not making much boost (if using the stock lower) so the gains won't be as drastic as a car making 20+ psi with the standard inlet. I would think at the ~16 psi you are making, you should see an increase of about 2 psi with the same pulley and about 30-40 rwhp.

Are you changing it on the dyno by chance? If not a dyno can easily be off 20hp from one day to another. I've been there and done that and since then we test everything the same day with the car staying strapped down.

Unfortunately, no.

^Have them overlay the 2 graphs when you're done to compare them both. Good luck as well.

ironhand my shelby With the 2.8 kb 18 psi and l/t puts down 726 rwhp on 91 octen sae#

by the way its a 2.8 NOT 3.6 and still more efficient then the 3.4

We also made 726 rwhp with a 3.4L with a standard inlet at 18 psi, different dynos, different results. Our car also went 137 mph in the 1/4 with that HP, so I think our dyno was a little on the low side :coolman: The 2.9's make similar power since they already have the larger inlet.

I'm ready to see the dyno sheet. What were his final number, what fuel, what boost?

I believe he's at 18-19 PSI ... Made 717/65x ... He has a Kb boost a pump with stock pumps , stock injectors .. His injectors duty cycle are 95% so he's aware about going 72lb 's very soon ...we are running this weekend ! I'm expecting an loss FTL although when he was making 670whp I was faster on top end.. I'm really happy for him though , he really wanted to hit his 700whp + goal

It will be good run, thats for sure!

I am little worried about my injectors tho. I do not want to run lean at WOT. Next mod will be injectors:rockon:
