I'm trying to get a sense of how much the car is worth in the current market as it's not exactly like many others out there. I love my Cobra but being a college student pursuing a medical career, it's just not practical at the moment. I'll try to list as much information as possible

2003 Ford Mustang Cobra
-73k miles on the chassis
-I purchased from the original owner about three years ago at 55k miles
-One previous minor accident, scraped the rear driver side of my car at about 8mph, simply repainted, new wheel, and new tie rod. Have pics
-Exterior 8.5/10, Interior 8/10

-Engine:
  • Brand new (0 miles yet) Boss big bore 5.0 shortblock built at Modmax good for 1000hp
  • 9.2:1 Manley forged pistons
  • stock forged Manley rods with arp 2000 bolts
  • stock crank
  • remachined and inspected heads and valves
  • all ARP hardware
  • Posi ported Eaton, ported plenum and ported/matched accufab sbtb w/ 2.8/4lb pullies
  • Fluidyne heat exchanger
  • JLT ram air intake
  • oil catch can

-Fuel:
  • LP return fuel system using the dual Ford GT pumps with modified hat
  • 80lb injectors as I'm going to be going with an E85 tune as well as a 93 pump gas tune with SCT flash handheld

-Driveline:
  • solid polyurethane motor mounts
  • Steeda IRS brace
  • 26 spline input with ProMotion blue-printed Hi-Clamp clutch with Fidanza aluminum flywheel and LP TOB
  • firewall adjuster and quadrant
  • Steeda lowering springs

-Misc.
  • UPR o/r x-pipe with flowmaster 40-series mufflers, sounds perfect imo
  • Has a nitrous system fully installed but will not be tuned on spray, it was on the last setup.
  • Last setup w/ stock motor was posi port 2.8/4lb making 525/545 on 93. With the Boss bottom i'm expecting about 560-575 on 93 and 600-620 on E85, both with conservative tunes as I very rarely go to the track.
  • 8% tint, but passenger side has a crease in the middle and rear is bubbling
  • extended rear wheel studs

I will add more as I think of it.

This is a pic of the previous setup, should look the same with an oil catch can instead of breathers

I am located in SWFL and was thinking of listing it for $22.5k obo. Perfect as it sits or begging for a whipple to be thrown on top.

Thoughts anyone?

No engine shots ?

The motor is being built as we speak, all the engine shots I have are old :nonono: It's just a short block so it should look exactly the same but with 21 more cubic inches  I'll add an older shot of the prev setup

I am confused. Do you mean Boss 5.0 as a big bore engine? Or as in a Coyote engine...

The boss big bore 5.0 302

Let me know your thoughts as far as value, I figured take away 7 grand for the new short block + labor would put it at about $16k with a stock motor which is pretty average/below average, not to mention all of the other supporting mods.

im confused, how much are you wanting?:p

I'm wanting $22.5k and made this thread to make sure I wasn't asking too much or too little. The motor is still being built but I'm selling right after so the buyer can be sure the motor's got a clean slate and never been abused.

I live in Fort Myers also, what road are these pics taken on?

Some were taken off Lee and Alico and a couple others in Bonita off W Terry

Is that with the Ford Racing 5.0 big bore block? I thought I read that the valley on these was too shallow for the Cobra lower intake. Or a Coyote block with adapters for the motor mounts? Let us know how it works out. Thanks.

I've stated this already, it's the big bore ford racing boss 5.0, and it should fit as far as I know, I talked to mmr and modmax about that block for my cobra so it should fit.

Thanks! Finally the post i was looking for lol. Yeah there's a lot of nice whippled cars for sale here for about the same price but seems to be mostly people getting rid of their mint cond cobras for 26k+. So I have a mint cond boss motor :rolling: Make over 600whp with the eaton= instant torque at all times
