Hello everyone here is the deal I just sold my 04 Cobra and now I am looking to get a 11-12 GT500 SVTPP. I can't leave it stock so I was wondering what are the best mods for the car. It is going to be a street car I'm looking for it to put down high 500 to low 600 rwhp. I want to lower the car but not really sure what I need to lower it and make it handle a little better. I should have right around 4600 cash to pay for the mods. I'm not looking to go with a bigger blower kind of just looking to do bolt on's. Thanks for any input.

Hey my friend,

Well, I can tell you that with the minimal mods I have done (posted in sig) it REALLY woke the car up...I'd say the car is roughly 550rwhp or so, and it runs great. Most people on here will tell you pulley/tune/short-throw/exh/LCA's/tires...I haven't gotten the last two on that list, but they would surely help...you will need relocation brackets for the LCA's if you lower though!! :)

VMP TVS and a dual Fan H/E will make 600+++whp and if you get the quick change pulley one you can choose your power level.

To stop wheel hop, some LCAs are a cheap and easy way, and add some looks to the car. Revan racing has a sale on BAS solid ones now : Bob's Auto Sports Billet Lower Control Arms - Revan Racing, Inc.

Then like others said, pulley, tune. I had the JLT carbon fiber tube as one of my first upgrades to get rid of the intake muffler, and looks amazing. And tires are one of the best investments I made. Mickey thompson ET streets. The modding bug never ends though, hahaha

Good luck and enjoy!

Don't order without talking to Van. He can provide advice and direction to get you the best bang for the buck.

For $800 bucks some of the companies offer a pulley and tune that they claim will get you 90-100 Fly wheel hp and 6-70 rwhp. Can't beat that bang for the buck.

MGW adjustable shifter. Put mine in a couple weeks ago and it's a tremendous upgrade over the crappy stock shifter (IMO)

Mustang GT500 SHIFTER

AMEN on this one!!! I was about to sell the GT500 before I put this on it. I cannot imagine any modification more important to the enjoyment of this vehicle... not being able to shift reliably in a sports car is a show-stopper. 800+ HP does not do much good if you cannot shift.....

Praises to MGW from an engineering doc!
