Just found this on a Youtube account I am subscribed to. There's nothing interesting, like exhaust sounds or anything, but it does show the inside of the car and what not:

YES - Mustangs have a special place in my heart. I really really like the '13 GT500. I test drove a '12 5.0 and thought it was a great car. My only hesitation is that I suspect I'd rarely drive it - it's a tough garage competition each morning when you're vying for attention with a McLaren, two Ferraris, two AMGs, and a V10 R8.

You just need a good friend like myself to tell you which car to drive each day. That way I can make sure each gets properly used.

I can be out on the next place at your command.

Funny - that is actually a video of my car - notice that it's filmed at Ferrari/SF. Brian taped the video when the car first arrived, and agreed not to post it until after the car sold.

The opening scene is pretty much exactly what we saw when we went into the dealer last Saturday.

I love the way the Gallardo looks.

Christine and I test drove a LP560-4 Spyder in 2010. The frame creaked over pavement irregularities, the seat heaters didn't, the e-gear was jerky and upshifted very early, and the transmission failed (dash warning light + cloud of smoke from engine bay + smell of burning clutch) during the test drive. When we limped back to dealer, I asked about the warranty and they told me there was no coverage for clutch issues even though customers sometimes wore them out in 500 miles.

So I bought an Audi R8 V10 - same drivetrain, but reliable and warrantied.

No second reason? "My only hesitation is [...]"

Wow..That's terrible.. and embarrassing. I figured there might be some reason considering I never see you post about Lamborghini's.

Why do you post on this forum? I'm sincerely curious. My impression is that you don't own a mustang. I'm not saying you must have a mustang to post here, but there are many other forums more suited to your "stable" than this one.

That's something I've wrestled with myself, however the end result is the same: Damn I'm glad Treynor posts here

Mods need to change the title to "two more excellent reasons to admire Treynor" - silly typo for such a savvy guy!

Congratulations! I personally love seeing these kinds of pictures and stories posted.

I've often wondered what the buying process for a car like that must be. With a Mustang, you can walk in armed with invoice price from Edmunds.com and "haggle" with the salesman until you're comfortable with a price.

I'd imagine it's much different when dealing with a car that's 1 of 30.

What's auto insurance like each month at the Treynor household? Lol

Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk

I would guess he is "self insured". Once you can afford to buy a Ferrari like you and I buy Nikes, you don't need to buy insurance. You can prove that you're self insured.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Treynor.:pop:

Fair question. Three reasons:

1. My first car was a '87 5.0 Mustang, and they've always had a special place in my heart.
2. I've been reading and posting here for about a decade, I know several of the people (including L.L.) who are here, and I like the ambiance.
3. This Thread keeps bringing me back :)

Gorgeous car no doubt, but the 599's just dont do it for me in the looks department. Though i do love me some ferrari. The f355 and 360 modena being my all time favs.

I am patiently waiting for the arrival of the mp4-12c. That is the car of cars for me. I was so happy there was one at the auto show this year, i probably would have never seen one otherwise. Just a true piece of art IMO. I find it crazy that jermey clarkson finds the car un-attractive, so to speak, in the looks deparment. Though hes got quite the boner for the 458. Waiting to hear your comparison between the two.

I agree there comes a point when you get tired of looking at mustangs all day. If you are a car enthusiast you should enjoy what Treynor posts, even if you don't like it, it should be motivation for you to work hard, study hard and make moooooooney!

Maybe I am taking it the wrong way but this just seems like a really shitty post.

I personally love his posts and wish more well off people were like Ben. A VERY wealthy person that shares the same interests as I do is pretty damn neat in my opinion. I find myself daydreaming what-if scenarios all the times. I'd be a little upset if he stopped posting here. Posts like yours don't make the site seem very welcoming.

That's one of the great things about this site, we have all walks of life here.

I think one of the best threads ever was where Treynor was called out for using a point and shoot camera to take pics of his 458. He responded not with words, but with a pic from a $60k+ camera

Ah yes, that was an epic moment. "Oh, don't think much of my Canon S90? How about a Phase One IQ180?"

I did not however mind the question. I took it as curiosity rather than a put-off.
