First they posted the Grabber Blue coupe all over the internet and then followed up with the DIB convertible at Chicago.

I think the Shelby looks great in blue, I like the DIB color better, I think GB looks a liitle too Smurf for my taste but I know others love it. I have seen some black and white models unofficially running around as testers but Ford tends to officially present the cars in blue.

I wish they would build one in every color and divide them between the auto shows so we could get a look at our options for '13, I would love to see a Race Red on the Auto Show floor!

Traditionally, the 1966 Shelby Cobra and Super Snake was the Deep Blue you see today. The Grabber color caught on sometime in the late '60s, 1969 I do believe. Ford and blue go together....

Also, maybe they are trying to separate themselves from the traditional SVT red used in the previous 1993 Cobra, 2000 Cobra and Terminator red used prior.

Everyone knows the color red is associated with Communism, Evil and Chevrolet ;-) Ford released initial press photos that were in direct contrast to the ZL1's press photos....

Or maybe Ford is just really rubbing it in because there is no blue ZL1's available....

I agree with the guy above. They should show a red shelby with black or white stripes. i perfer to see black stripes since there are plenty of pictures of ones with white stripes on a showroom. Red shows the contrast and the lines the best out of any color I think at least on the shelby. I think the grabber blue is also a little too smurf and girly for my taste. I can't decide between DIB with black stripes or red with black stripes.

All the buyers of a blue car will have plenty of real life examples to check out before they drop their hard earned $'s, hopefully as we get closer to orderability, a couple of those evil communist race red models will surface in the wild so I can get a good look before making final decision (black stripes please).

I doubt they will, but I think it would be cool to see gotta have it green stripes on a black car. I'm not sure I would choose it over GB stripes, but I bet it would look cool.

You may have to go aftermarket for that combination.

why? Just go down and buy a green stripe kit from the parts counter and have the dealer body shop install them on your car.

Hmmm, didn't know you could get gotta have it green stripes over the counter, I guess that would still not be considered factory since it can't be ordered and won't be on the sticker and invoice. Not sure if that matters to the buyer.
