just picked up a bone stock 93lx with roughly 60k miles. it has an AOD trans, but i was really looking for a 5spd. (couldn't pass it up....this car is straight and sweet!) does anybody make a swap kit to convert it to a 5spd? or do you know of a parts list of whats needed to do the swap? thanks for your info!

MPS autosalvage has kits, kinda pricey but it says it includes a clutch and a computer. They can probably sell for less if you want less parts, it also says it has the leather boot and shifter. I just pieced my car from cars that I had junked out and local junk yards.

How hard is this swap as far as difficulty goes? I have a garage, so I wouldn't be doing this in the driveway. I'm fairly decent on mechanical skills but have never done any kind of tranny or clutch work. I've installed many suspension lifts on trucks and try to do all regular maintenance on my own. A buddy's son wants me to help him do this on his 2.3l mustang fox that the auto just crapped out on and I'm a little leery.
