Is all I can say!

I took my TTSaleen out for a quick drive this afternoon when I got home from work. I'm trying to figure out why my speedometer doesn't work.
I run a ERA Abbott box and it worked perfectly with my T56.
I checked the signal wire going into the box tonight and didn't get any voltage readings, so I might have a bad sensor on the 4R70W.
Got dark so had to quit for tonight.

But I did take it up the block and I tried the transbrake out 100% full throttle for once.
I can footbrake the stall to about 3200rpm before the tires will spin.
I can TRANSBRAKE the stall to over 4000rpm!!! I only held it for about 2 seconds and it went over 4000rpm and seemed to stop around 4100 to 4200.

I cannot WAIT to get the exhaust reconnected and fitted and then get it retuned on the dyno.

I think this thing is either gonna hit the tires hard and launch..........or it's gonna be a spin-fest.

Either way it should be fun!
No videos yet, but I will work on some soon!

Add a 2 step to the transbrake button and hang on. I played with my car and used the transbrake at one even and was impressed then I hooked the 2 step up and my god was it insane launching with RPM and a bunch of boost.

Nice!
Do they make one for my 98? I still have plug wires and the 2 separate coil packs.

You ballsy already? I saw your vids going high 10's in your new car.
Is that your street tune?

Let me get my exhaust hooked back up and I just might have to take you up on that call out.

Foot brake and 6psi, I didn't want to launch it on the 17s and blow the tires away and waste a run.

if you have msd dis4 its a simple hook up, or you can get one nm2b wot box and just set the trigger to your t.b. button
I don't have the dis4 so the nm2b wot box looks perfect!
I'll check it out. Thanks!

Uploading now........will post my quick shakedown riding around my block to test out the 4R70W. Exhaust isn't hooked up (only dumps under trans), speedo isn't working yet, tune not checked yet, and wideband not working as my bung is in the x-pipe portion of my exhaust that doesn't fit. I've only been 1/4 throttling it to not build much boost. This thing pulls STRONG compared to the T56! You can hear the turbos spooling just riding around....something I never heard before!

Congrats dude.

Thanks. I have a feeling it will get the hell out of dodge now! I must go redeem myself at the track and get something better than a 2.4X 60 foot time and get out of the damn 11's!! HAHA!! Seriously, I expect it to knock a 10 second pass in the mouth real easy and knock down something in the 9's on a full pass (pump gas and 19 pounds on my 18" wheels/radials). We'll see!!

Well, when I first thought about it, it seems it would need to be re-tuned. But even if it's loaded differently, engine load is engine load and if everything is set up correctly, the engine should respond accordingly. But I'm not a tuner. I was just curious as to why. No big deal.

I believe it will. Got an appointment next week to get the exhaust redone, and then it will hit the dyno to find out!
Will post when I have more info on this subject! :rolling:

My tune didn't need changed after the swap. My converter is super tight though, so maybe that keeps it close to the stick. Went from 850 to 800 on RWHP on my street tune though. It feels much faster now though.

Did you only give up 50rwhp going from a t-56 to an auto? If so that darn good. I lost 100rwhp/200rwtq but on the street is is f'n crazy fast.
