Considering there arent too many high rise type buildings and most of them are on a granite or at least a solid foundation i doubt you would have much of a problem, i would be more worried about liquefaction because DC is in a river basin.
I love how everyone on here flips out over nothing, it's pretty amusing to read some of these posts.

Oh it's coming Sunday supposedly, but it still boring. We have them every year. But we also get mega snow storms and earthquakes too, so therefor we are much more awesome. All we need is a few volcanoes and we will be set.
