Well to add a bit to the conversation, I took my car in for a "second opinion". The dealership tried to get my car fixed, and NO DICE! Warranty is voided. The Ford rep told the service advisor in few word, "for me to get a lawyer, that they're expecting me to take Ford to court". The warranty was voided, not because they were able to prove that I had a tune, but because they found a video of me at the track. They also have a copy of a forum post of me asking Sniper tuning for help with a laptop issue. Now the video they found was of me racing my 99 Cobra, and the forum post was before I bought the 2011. Now I have to pay a lawyer to prove the video and forum post is not of my car. Ford just found a way to deny my warranty, now I have to fight to prove they were wrong.

yeah. 4 posts

Look at my join date Douchebag, ordinarily i wouldn't say anything but i belong to several mustang/ford forums and you are exactly the same on all them. in fact you were banned from at least one for your troll like behavior. while you may be a lot boy at some dealership somewhere i highly doubt you have any inside or first hand info that would be deemed usefull in this particular forum.

First, how did ford know a forum post by screename x was you, same with the video.

Seems pretty weak evidence and apparently mis-evidence and too me seems more like the dealership giving you the run around.

Honestly Shadow... have you ever provided ANY useful technical advice? Seems like every time I see you post, it's because you are ragging someone because they "might" have a problem with their new 5.0

It's oblivious that you are totally useless when it comes to someone needing help on this forum... just stick to being the 'fluff boy" at your dealership :loser:

Well as to what criteria was used to search me is unknown, I can only speculate that they got my email and Googled it. I gave them access to "me" when I did the whole sync thing online. Ford has my email address, my youtube is linked to my address and screen name for that matter. Look for yourselves.

I don't feel like I'm wasting my time, it's about Ford sweeping the issues with these motors under the rug. The dealership that I took my car for a second opinion has changed motors in more than a few cars. Another dealership that also "tried to help" had just finished changing a motor and also had done several prior. If you truly want to add any input to this topic, or know anyone with ANY type of issue with there stang, please refer them to my facebook page, Mustang Engine Failure. I hope with this I will get the attention of someone who can make a difference. thanks for listening

Kobra I did read a post where you wrote that you had a tune and that you knew it was tuned properly. Some crap like that.

I wonder how many people having issues are running aggressive 93 tunes? I have a Lund 91 street tune from Lethal and so far no issues. I have been in contact with both Lund and Lethal regarding this just to make sure everyone is aware of it. I specifically asked Jon in an e-mail if the knock sensitivity was altered with his early 5.0 tunes and he didn't answer that question, but he didn't act like he was too concerned about it either.

i talked to lund when these tunes first hit the street.
i ordered my tune in august of 2010
there is no adjustment to the knock sensitivity. if your particular engine pings, the PCM pulls timing.

i can see tuning our cars for fun and performance. ive run these Cars for decades. a lot of you werent born.

one thing i dont do, is drag race my car under warranty. we all know the clutches cant take it. we all know the driveline cant take it. its nothing new. DR's and stock components dont mix.

i just had my clutch repaired under warranty. want given any kind of trouble about it. i do know folks at the dealer, but those folks know i dont race my new car at the track. i didnt try to hide the mods or lie. they know when its been raced.

be a man and take the hit for your decisions to mod your car. if you get jim-bob to tune his first 2011GT, then you get a blown motor. You get John Lund or another Master to tune it, you can rest easy.

i feel pretty confident, that even if an engine component failed i would still get it repaired under warranty...

IF IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TUNE/MODS.

if it did, id pull it into the garage and fix it myself- to include repairing a cylinder.
