a friend of mine bought #2.. he contacted that guy that got #1.. guy told him someone offered him $40k more then what he paid for it and he didnt sell it, and hes racing it and running the piss out of it.. lol

If that is the case, he is stupid! Sounds like a little :bs: on his part. If I were him, I would have parked it and put it on ebay for some collector to buy.

i dont buy some guy offering him 5 figures OVER what he paid... sounds like BS to me. Why wouldnt you make that profit, buy another Boss that's sitting on a dealer lot and basically get a Boss 302 for FREE from the money you made? :bs:

I see the location says Brownsboro,TX. Kinda funny been through that town many a time, it's really close to my hometown of Tyler. It's at 95K and reserve is still not met. Crazy!

His goal is to sell the 0001 car with enough profit to pay it off and buy another boss. I'm confident he can do it too. This is why he turned down the 40K above cost offer. I would have too. This car will sell for over 100,000.

Yup, there will be old rich guys that wish they had a boss in the early teens but couldnt afford it. And now they have the money to buy this one.

UPDATE!

Shane sold the car to a local collector and got enough money to pay off his loan on the current car, and buy a brand new second 2012 Boss. He will have NO car note.

He is one lucky mother****er. Yes, this is envy!

yeah you have no idea how glad i am this is over. i didn't list the car out of a desire to make money off it, i found out late last week i was losing a huge chunk of my income. my saving grace was that i had a huge amount of disposable income before the 50% pay cut and little debt, but no matter how i worked it i couldn't find a way to keep the Boss and take care of the family. i didn't want to sell that car and had all intentions of keeping it, hell i was heading to eagle canyon raceway in dallas this weekend with the car.

the blessing here was that i happened to have found #0001 and a buyer not 30 minutes from me with the means and a mustang collection to keep me in a mustang at all. each time that auction went up i was thinking, well at least now i will still be able to buy a used termi, it went up more and I thought, wow maybe i can get a 10GT like my old one back, it went up again and i thought hey now i can get a 11GT, and it just kept going until the buyer stepped in and i ended up with the same thing i had.

It's a bit more than hitting the lottery. The real shocker to me was that with this pay cut, that 10 GT i traded would have had to go too. if i hadn't traded the 10 on this car, not only would i not have a mustang, but the bank would have had my 10 in a few months too, my credit would be ruined, and who knows when i would have been able to get back in a mustang. And if my boss wasnt #0001 i would have never been able to get enough to get in another mustang after payoff of that car either, assuming it sold enough for payoff at all. It's pretty obvious that God loves Mustangs too.

Well at least he got a happy ending out of the deal. I would be going crazy trying to find a way to hang onto that car but life is like that sometimes. As it is how many guys can say they owned 2- 2012 Boss's?

This guy was smart. Get the car, run it for a while then sell it for a huge profit and get a free one out of the deal.....LOL. Awesome. Congrats man.
