Needing some help from the forum on this one. I had previously been looking for a Corvette, however the need to have another daily driver seemed like a pretty big negative. My wife and I are also looking to start a family in the next year, so we went to the local Ford dealer and test drove a 2011 Performance White GT 6M. It was amazing, everything I loved about my Oxford White Mach 1 and so much more. My wife fell in love with it too.

Here is my problem. When looking at Vettes I was looking used, with the Mustang I can look new but am still price concious. I haven't tried to talk price with the dealer and am currently thinking about just ordering a 2012. The Corvette forums have a bunch of dealer sponsers that are known to be huge Vette dealers. They often have the best prices and inventory. I have tried to find the similar large Mustang dealers and just can't find any info. on the internet?

Does anybody know of a large dealer such as this? Anyone have a dealer that is more about volume that screwing the customer? I may be able to make a deal locally, but if there was an awesome dealership I would be willing to travel.

Thanks in advance!

you may want to head over to the mustangforums.com. Thats a huge one like corvetteforum.com and should have some dealer sponsors. And I agree with you, the corvette forum does have some dealers affiliated with them that will give you a screaming deal on a car, fedex you the paperwork, then ship you the car without having to leave your computer. And I know there is one in WI that sells more vettes a month off corvette forum than most dealers sell in a year. Goodluck.

Van Bortel in Rochester NY. $300 under invoice. Everyone pay one price and no BS.

Thanks, yeah that's exaclty what I was talking about. I figure the Mustang is to Ford, what the Corvette is to Chevy, a flagship car that generates excitement for the brand. I assume it would be a point of pride to some dealers to be a large Mustang dealer or the "largest mustang dealer." My internet search just isn't coming up with anything.

I'm sure my local dealer wouldn't be bad but I feel like it will come down to nav or brembo package when there may be a dealer where I could swing both?

I will try to look up their inventory online. Thanks.

Price Ford in Port Angeles, WA also does some amazing deals on cars; they just sold a Tri-Blaze Yellow Boss 302 (not LS) for 43K to a guy on one of the other stang forums (not sure if I can post a link to it here..). I've had some friends from that forum get some great deals working with Mark over in sales.

Check them out, they're very friendly about remote buying and such, and they don't screw around; they want to sell the cars, and they're very good at it.

Thanks everyone I will keep all these dealers in mind. It looks like I may have to contact them about ordering a 2012. My ideal car would be the following:

Mustang GT - Premium
Performance White over Charcoal Interior
Stripe Delete
Brembo Package
Technology Package
HIDs
Comfort Package

I could live with:

Mustang GT - Premium
Performance White over Charcoal Interior
Stripe Delete
Technology Package
HID's
Comfort Package

I would probably never utilize the Brembo package on a track, but the wheels are the best out currently from Ford and extremely expensive to purchase separate from the Brembo package.

This car will be my daily driver and a cruising car/date night car for my wife and I so creature comforts are important.

If I order the 2012 I also get the driver selectible steering which would be great, coming from my current 04 325CI w/ sport pack the GT I tested was not quite as direct in it's steering.

+1 Paul is great. I drove from Columbus Ohio to get my car there.

Looks like when I'm ready to order I will have to contact Paul and see what kind of deal we can work out. I have only found one Mustang that matched what I'm looking for, but it was used and had stone interior.

Thanks for the help everyone, I'll still give my local dealer a shot as well, but hopefully with more options I will get the best price possible.

I can recommend CrossRoads Ford in Raleigh, NC. Ask for Craig Maxa.

Thanks! I will contact them as well. If I'm not buying from the dealer literally a mile from my house then I would prefer to go to North Carolina as I have family just north in West Virginia. Would be an unbelievable way to get to know the car on the drive home. Hopefully my finances will be lined up within the next few weeks and I can get started. I will post up details once everything is taken care of!
