Ok, So I'll try this again...

I am starting my own part time small business (Tier One Athletics) which will supply my local communities with the necessary sporting goods (specializing in Baseball) for competition as well as customized uniforms and apparel. I have all my vendors ready to go as well as a screen print and embroidery shop (yes, I will not be doing the art work myself, duh, Im not an artist....)

Tier One...being top notch athletics.

So I will "throw you a bone" to the person that may come up with the best logo design. If you're not an artist, no sweat but have good ideas? That would be just as good. I was hoping to have something maybe with the T & the #1 combined in some cool design, not sure tho.

Maybe some extra income from this small business can help fun my addiction to speed.

Thanks again for you're support!

You're kidding right???

My original post above....but not yours above which was much more condescending in tone to artists.

How exactly do you plan on operating your business?

I was actually thinking about having you run it for me. Let you take all the profit and I'll just sit there.

WTF?!?!?!:bash:

Ok, Guess I thought I could actually get some ideas going here.

Thanks...

I work in a print shop, you're going to either know how to do artwork or have people that know how to do it working for you.

Im glad you work in a print shop. I don't. But I will be using a local print shop to do what ever screen printing, embroidering I need.

I know there are alot of people with different talents and figured I could get some help from some friends first, instead, I get a bunch of shit.

People working for me...if you fully read the first post, it is a small part time business.

Thanks again...:burn:

whut I miss?

Was asking if there was any artists in the club that would be willing to help me come up with a logo for my small-part-time business. Whom ever came up with the logo that I liked best would receive $50.00 in lue of their efforts and my appreciation.

But instead of help I got bashed....:kaboom:

Matt, near as I can tell, neither CobraRed01 nor SNCBOOM are listed in the 593 screen names that are members of MACA. This shouldn't be Smackdown.

I'm not an artist, but I work in the prepress dept of a large printer, and am familiar with computer generated art.

I'm not sure what the flack is about, but PM me, and I'll be happy to answer any questions I can.

Your original post...which you have chosen to remove...was nothing less than insulting to any artist I know. "Throw us a bone???" If you are attempting to open up a business that will rely heavily on the work of artists you better learn how to speak to and treat these professionals. Especially, as you mentioned in your original post, that this logo will be representing your business. You deserved to be bashed for that attitude.

I'm not a trained artist or anything, but I do have a scanner, PhotoShop, thousands of fonts, and some decent graphic skills.

What are you looking for??

Nothing going on here but a jackass that feels the need to place an artists ass on a pedestal. Diplomacy is a far fetch for some.

No pedestal sonny....just a little respect. Next time someone asks you for some help I hope they offer to "throw you a bone". I am sure the will just sit right with you.

Sorry to all if I seem a bit pissy on this issue. I've recently been losing creative and programming business to $4 hour guys in India and Pakistan. Major suckage. I had a MAJOR customer of 15 years pull the plug on business (for me and a number of even larger agencies). Not a quality issue...just a $$$'s issue. Some of us are sensative to the whole "crowd sourcing", 'free design" and "off shoring" concept.

I like steamed trout by the way.
