I wish a company came out with a kit that has all the parts needed so i can just buy any blower (kb 2.8h) for an 03/04 and slap it on

A lot of it is Ford only parts which get expensive. I think Steve @ Tousley priced it all out from Ford and it was over $6000!!! Even w/o the blower it would still not be cost effective for most. The KB kit is $7000 and comes with everything and you can kind of see why when you figure what an eaton kit costs brand new from Ford. After that add in the cost of a KB.

anyone got pics of a lower and upper alternator bracket and the part numbers?

I ordered the part number listed as lower bracket and got the lower Pulley thing instead, no idea what was wrong, the part number or the dealership

I would call steve at tousley ford on this site and talk to him and see what the part number is and see what you got.

resurecting an old thread but is it safe to say that as long as i do the stuff required to swap to c heads on my 98 that i could feasibly follow this same list as well as use an o3 harness and computer?

Heads would really be the olny thing i can think of thats different. now on the harness idk. I used my stcok mach 1 harness so i would think you can do the same. its really only running 2 wires for your IAT sensor and rerunning your ALT wires. I was able to just split the plastic around the wires and redo it. didnt have to add any wire.

You many not need to swap harnesses or computers. I didn't, but I have a new edge. I extended my IAT wiring so I could run the IAT2 sensor that is in the intake rather than the one in the air tube. I had to attach the new alternator plug for the 03 alternator. I would check to see if your alternator wiring will work for the 03 though, 99-01 does if you run the leads correctly to the connector, but yours maybe different.

The marauder guys way is interesting. Makes the swap much cheaper and faster. Thats an option worth looking into.

upon doing a lil more research under my own hood it seems like the brackets they made WOULD fit our cars. What am i missing here? i keep seeing that the 99/01 Cobra Timing cover is different than the Mach's in a way that the brackets wont attach. But we have all the required holes to bolt the brackets into.

also tried a google search looking for part numbers on the timing covers and stumbled onto some other forum were everyone was saying they use the same part number.

Noob question, but part #1 on the OEM Ford list in the original post..can you use your stock 01 Cobra crank pully/harmonic balancer? I thought I saw a guy do that, but wasn't sure..

I don't think so. Not if you use all 03 cobra parts you can't. Maybe the marauder way will allow it. You should also replace the bolt for the crank pulley too.

I'm starting my "marauder-style" eaton swap next month, so I've looked into this question quite a bit. I never found a definite answer, but I do have pictures of both a Mach 1 timing cover and a '99 cobra cover. From the pictures, they are identical.

Now, the thing that still confuses me is that the guy on M1R that either makes the brackets, or is a friend of the guy who makes the brackets claims that the brackets and this setup will only work with a "single bolt tensioner system."
Either way, I will be making my own custom brackets for the sway, so I'll find something out that works for my '99.

p/s

starting to collect parts and have 1 question. i've googled pictures of the drive system but can not find a good view of it to see where the p/s pump moves to since the alternator takes it's place? can someone post a good picture of where it moves to or tell me if it moves at all?

***nevermind finally found a good picture

The alternator doesn't really take the p/s pump's place. The alternator is on your blower drive belt now instead of the main accessory one.

Not to change the subject here, but is an svt focus fuel pump enough to supply the eaton swap or do you absolutely have to add a boost a pump? Anyone with personal experience?
