Hey guys, I,m trying to get a real world number on selling my 07 gt500, It was bought in MN from a guy who is known for doing high quality job on repairables and it had a clean title and carfax when i bought it two years ago but now carfax shows a salvage with the title being washed or clean. the car is almost perfect in every way and has no signs of prior damage anywhere, it has a kenne bell stg3@20psi(and supporting mods), dynatech headders, 3inch exhaust, frpp shifter, frpp blue valvecovers, upper and lower control arms and box braces, aluminum overflow tanks, chromed factory wheels, sct xcal-3, have a set of rear racestar wheels new in the box and a a set of 373 gears and aluminum diff cover. I,m just trying to figure out what you guys think it,s worth. Oh yeh its red with black interior, 19k miles and factory tires are like new as well as some nitto drag radials. it has run a 10.86 on the drag radials full wieght swaybar intact. thanks guys in advance. Jerry

way under $30 salvage titles are assigned when more then 75% of the vehicle worth is lost. Not a an accident basically a wreck

me personally, zero interest. Even my own, if it gets into a somewhat of a serious accident and gets fixed.........."for sale" the next day

Salvage title bothers me a lot. I'd only pay 29k if the title was clean. At another 20% off of that (due to salvage title) it might make sense. JMHO

Good luck

I did not read the salvage title part. High 20's for sure.
If you plan on keeping it for life it may be a good deal.
Resale will suck however.

Thanks for the replies guys, I am probably just going to keep it but was just trying to figure out if i decided to sell her what would be reasonble to ask. My sons think we should be sportin a viper gts and they seem pretty resonable right now.

ugh, that post was hard to read in all red with a black background...if you do sell it, don't write the post like that.

If I were you, I would just go to Carmax and see how much they would give you although I believe the price they will offer you is based on a stock car and you will need to give it to them with the mods removed. Then you can add from there for a private sale. I suspect private sales in the mid-high 20's...

Also consider that not everyone is the sharpest tool in the shed and they don't bother with carfax checks so it may be a non-issue for autotrader, local newspaper sales, etc (ie not svtperformance/teamshelby/etc classified type buyers). Spend a few bucks, advertise it, and see what happens. You can then tell the buyer what the deal is with title if they contact you. If they come see the car, they may be happy with the condition of the car and have it inspected or they will walk/negotiate down.

Linky on title washing for those that aren't sure what it is (like me) http://www.fraudguides.com/auto-title-washing.asp

I don't think Carmax would give him any offer due to the title history.

I am going to disclose what i know to whomever i would potentially sell it to, as it sucks to find you bought a clean title car only to have it been washed. Thats why i just wanted to get a grasp on what i could be reasonable and ask for her. Sorry about the red, just was trying to highlight it. Thanks again for the comments good or bad i wanted your guys thoughts on it as who would know better than other enthusiasts.
