That's EXACTLY what I am going to do later on.

I'll be building a Boss50 blocked 331ci (3.750" x 3.750") with custom pistons - if Diamond will do them otherwise i'll just go 323ci and 3.700" bore - and I beams, with 6 bolt (4 Bolt) billet caps and FGT heads on top..... i'll be welding and machining/reporting a stock 03/04 manifold to suit as this fellow has done and topping it off with a 3.6LC KB.

Wont be until next year though.

Being intended for a blown mod motor what kind of gain GT heads will have on the output of the engine where the air is forced thru the ports? Something tells me this is a lot of effort for limited gain as compared to ported stock cobra heads. Nice work none-the-less. Keep us posted on your progress.

You do realize that all 05-06 GTs are mod motors and are supercharged. Also the two race engines with this setup did very very well.

The thing is you will never get the Cobra head to flow on the exhaust side like them GT heads will. You may get to within 5-10% on the intake side without too much work but to get the exhausts to 250+cfm on an 03+ head is a pretty big job yet the FGT head flows that out of the box.

And on a high boost blown engine that good exhaust flow adds big numbers on the dyno....

Anybody ever do a flow bench test before and after with the intake on???

I would love to see this as well, to support the claims of the superior exhaust flow adding big numbers on the dyno. And how big those numbers actually are.

Is it just me, or does the motor look a little crooked in the engine bay? Maybe it's just the angle the pic was taken. Regardless, some real world numbers will be interesting. It's a pretty looking setup that's for sure!

The engine was still on jack stands and the Transmission was not bolted up. Also not sure if the K-member was in. So ya it may be a bit off. We all want numbers but trust me when you do a 1 off custom job you run into snags here and there. It takes time.
