~ 1966 F100 gets EcoBoost Engine Swap~

If enough interest I will post my project's here.

My 1966 F100 with 3.5L EcoBoost has been on hold for over 2 yrs now. But am happy to say I will start back up on it very soon.

My 1966 F100 with a 427 Side Oiler is also well on its way.

Here is what I started out with. 1966 F250 Long Bed (I call it a F100 has better ring to it but being a F250 VIN will allow me to tow & haul much more)

HOLY SHEET that f150 took a snarly hit! The pics of the frame off body really shows how hard, look at the frame rail bent up!

But, Because the original '66 frame was approx 1/2 the height of the '11 frame decided to channel the cab down over frame using the '11 firewall and floor.

A fair amount of cutting and drilling needed to get the '11 firewall and floor out. First tried firewall. Kind of a screw up as should have taken them out together.

Amazing the '11 & '66 firewalls the exact same height.

I was really into it now!

Hoping I could get it all to work ordered up a new 126" WB frame from ford. The '66 WB is 129". More on that in a bit.

Even though the 2012 126" WB frame was brand new it looked horrible!

To start fresh gave it a new paint job using PPG Urethane .

After painting the new frame and stripping down the '11 Eco Frame I brought them both in shop to start swapping parts.
